Welcome to Nutrition Behavior Therapy

We believe everyone deserves the opportunity to live a long enriching life, and so our mission is clear: To create access to optimal nutrition and preventative healthcare for all Americans.

We are a team of licensed nutrition care providers including Registered Dietitians and Certified Exercise Physiologists. Our team is highly trained and experienced, and in the best position to help you with your goals.

We believe nutrition care should be affordable, and to that end, we are proud in-network care providers with Aetna and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas, and we are actively pursuing agreements with other health insurers too! Most clients with Aetna and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas pay nothing out-of-pocket for nutrition counseling.

Where can we provide service?

Our main office is located in Houston, TX
900 Lovett Blvd, Houston, TX 77006

If you live in Houston and would like to see someone in person, we’re happy to see you in our Montrose office.

If you live anywhere else in Texas, or just prefer telehealth (online) counseling, we can provide HIPAA-compliant online telehealth counseling.

Our treatment plans are developed using the following trifecta to ensure you receive the safest and most effective support in meeting your goals:

Thorough Assessment

We take the time to get to know you and everything about your health. We understand how your medical conditions and medications affect the process, so we design your plan to work with your current treatment and keep you safe.

Personalized Plans

We’ll help you understand the root of what’s standing in the way of your nutritional goals and make you an active partner in designing a plan that considers your preferences so you can succeed your way!

Motivation & Support

We know that taking action isn’t always that simple. Your provider is trained in effective coaching strategies to help you take action on your goals!

NBT Model

NBT proudly operates as a teaching clinic like the biggest names in Houston medicine (Baylor College of Medicine, MD Anderson, and Texas Children’s). In this setting, care is delivered by an RD with the support of a Resident, also called a Dietetic Intern, who is fully educated and qualified to practice.

Benefits of this care model:

  • You enjoy generously long appointments and extra support between visits (questions and research)
  • You receive a supreme quality of care because you’re being cared for by 2 professionals
  • You are supporting the future of clinical dietetics practice by seeing a current RD and empowering a future RD
